We were invited to document the momentous launch of the first brand new news channel launched in the UK for 30 years, GB News.
We created a set of films as a platform for the talent to give their side of the new venture and their reasoning for getting involved. We were given an incredible amount of freedom by channel heads, journalists and broadcasters at the top of their game, the only real brief we had was to represent the positive energy of the launch and allow the talent to give their view of the ‘why’s’ and ‘wherefore’s’ of this disruptive startup news channel.
Ultimately we came away from the project with very little editorial censure of our own and the job was a joy from start to finish, our ideas were embraced and encouraged. Hopefully it shows in the numbers, as the films have gone to be viewed well over a million times on the channel's digital platforms.
